Rock Solid Bible Institute — The R.O.C.K. Church

Here at The Rock Church we want to help you build a firm foundation in your Christian walk, understand the heart and soul of TRC, and maximize your effectiveness for Christ. We have designed 3 separate, modules of classes designed to offer you the tools to make this happen in your life. Whether you are a new attendee or have been coming to church for years, we have a place for you to learn & grow.

New Followers Classes

This 9-week class is designed to help build a firm foundation in your Christian walk. It will equip you with some of the key foundational beliefs that lead to a healthy, successful relationship with Christ. We use a curriculum created and designed by the leaders of urban ministry World Impact called “Fight the Good Fight.”

Baptism Classes

Water baptism is only intended for the individual who has received the saving benefits of Christ’s atoning work and become His disciple. Therefore, in obedience to Christ’s command and as a testimony to God, the church, oneself and the world, a believer should be immersed in water in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Water baptism is a visual and symbolic demonstration of a person’s union with Christ in the likeness of His death and resurrection. It signifies that a person’s former way of life has been put to death and depicts a release from the mastery of sin. This 4-week class takes place once a quarter throughout the year

Leadership Development/Deeper Discipleship

The Urban Ministry Institute of Los Angeles (TUMI-LA) was launched as its third satellite campus with the mission to equip leadership for the urban church, especially among the poor, in order to advance God’s Kingdom in the city. TUMI-LA provides biblical and theological training that in inexpensive, accessible, and Christ-centered. Our TUMI satellite for urban leaders within the church will launch in the Fall 2015.

TUMI is a 16-module training program, taught at a seminary level, which we specifically designed to serve as the most essential knowledge and skill learning necessary for effective urban ministry and church leadership.

Described below are the 3 individual Modules:

fightthegoodfight — 9 Week New Believers Class

Module 1 is a practical, helpful resource is especially designed to help new and growing Christians become effective disciples/warriors of Christ, and is built entirely on the Story of God as told in the Scriptures. Following the thematic outline of Ephesians, this lesson guide helps believers understand what the Bible says about the key dimensions of our participation in God’s grand Story in nine integrated lessons. This class is for new believers or those who’d like to start again from the beginning. Order your book here

sacred roots.jpg — 8 Weeks Foundations

Module 2 is our foundations course. This 8 week course orients church members into the historic traditions of our faith. It is the roots of our spiritual ancestry, the proverbial ROCK out of which we were all dug. Classes begin January 16th on Wednesday nights from 7pm - 9pm. 3 Year Urban Seminary Training

The Rock Solid Bible Institute of Los Angeles was launched as its first satellite campus with the mission to equip leadership for the urban church, especially among the poor, in order to advance God’s Kingdom in the city. Rock Solid Bible Institute provides biblical and theological training that is inexpensive, accessible, and Christ-centered. We are able to offer affordable theological training or men and women who want to grow deeper in their walk with God.

In partnership with World Impact and The Reformed Church of America we will provide a 16-module training program, taught at a seminary level, which we specifically designed to serve as the most essential knowledge and skill learning necessary for effective urban ministry and church leadership.
